Song Title:
Ramona

I'm pretty sure this one's right, except for the little solo break-bridge-type thing.

But if you have suggestions or corrections, chawlan@umich.edu

I play mostly barre chords on this one, but open E and A seem to work ok as well.

E - barre fret 7

C#m - fret 4

B - fret 7

A - fret 5

F# - fret 2 or 9

I'm pretty sure the F# is a major in this song, even though by the "rules" it should be a minor.  But the minor just doesn't sound right to me, and the major does.

Intro:   E     E     C#m     B

Verse:   E     E     C#m     B

Chorus:  A     E     B      F#

         A     E     B      B

Bridge bass notes:  A     B     C#    D#

Verse:

E         E  C#m  B

Ramona,

E                      E  C#m  B

where have you been?

E                C#m         B        E  C#m  B

I couldn't go to sleep till you came in

E        C#m         B   E         C#m       B  E

Ramona, you're miss Oklahoma, and you miss Oklahoma

      C#m      B       E    C#m  B

I'll get you what you want

Chorus:

            A            E

There were days when a refrain

                    B                 F#

Would brighten our corner of hickory lane

                A                  E

When you would sing that song for me

     B

Just like your favorite singer

Verse:

Why'd you have to be so nice?

A wink and a girlie smile

And why'd you have to punch my eye?

That was something

But i still want you to stay

Bridge-Break:  The bass notes go A  B  C#  D# and keep repeating, ending on E at the end of the last line.

I think you can just finger-pick the chords A  B  C#m  D#m(?), but I'm not 100%

A           B           C#         D#

When I was younger I thought of myself

I never dreamed i'd become like this

A snap of your fingers an end to the arguments

A        B        C#      D#    E

Anything for you, love

Chorus:

There were days when a refrain

Would brighten the corner of hickory lane

When you would sing that song for me

The only one you know

But I know now, not at the start

We're going to pieces we're falling apart

So won't you sing that song for me

Just like your favorite singer

Hope it works for ya -- Neal
