Dashboard Confessional Hands Down Guitar Tab
I'm uploading this song, but did not tab it. I just put
in the lyrics.
The following email was attached to the original tab.

I believe that not all of this is correct, and I'm not
that good of a guitarist so please fix it. I think the
part
where it goes in the verse like the following isn't
right.
7-/-6
7-/-6
5-/-4
And the part in the chorus
--6-7-6------
-4-----4-----
5--------5--
is not correct either.
So if you can fix it, please email me at
egonpax@hotmail.com
It's in standard tuning but a half step down: Eb Ab Db Gb
Bb eb
Here's the intro lick:
E--------------------------------
B--------------------------------
G--------1---------1-2-----------
D------4---2-----4---------4/6---
A----2---------2---------2-------
E--0---------0---------0---------
Riff ends with:
D-------4--1--
A----2--4--2--
E--0----------
Verse: These are the root chords, a second guitar is
muting other notes
"Breathe
in for luck..."

The second time through the chorus he ends it
differently:

G-----1-------4------6-------4-----6---- To verse:
D-----2-------6------7-------6-----6--6-

E---0-0-------4------5-------4--------4-
The second verse and second chorus are exactly the same
(except for some stops in the verse) After the second chorus he breaks into the
bridge/outro section:
Bridge/outro: These are the chords being played, a second
guitar is picking through some other stuff which is at the bottom:

Lyrics
Verse 1:
Breathe in for luck, Breathe in so deep
This air is blessed, You share with me
This night is wild,
So calm and dull
These hearts they race from self-control
Your legs are smooth as they graze mine
We're doing fine,
We're doing nothing at all.
Chorus:
My hopes are so high that your kiss might kill me
So won't you kill me, so I die happy
My heart is yours to fill or burst
to break or bury, or wear as jewelery
Which ever you prefer
Verse 2:
The words are hushed lets not get busted,
just lay entwined here undiscovered.
Safe in here from all the stupid questions..
"hey did you get some?"
Man, that is so dumb.
Stay quiet, stay near, stay close
they can't hear, so we can get some.
Chorus:
Bridge/Outro:
Hands down this is the best date I can ever remember
I'll always remember the sound of the stereo
The dim of the soft lights, the scent of your hair
That you twirled in your fingers
And the time on the clock when we realized it's so late
And this walk that we shared together
The streets were wet and the gate was locked
So I jumped it and let you in
And you stood at your door with your hands on my waist
And you kissed me like you meant it
And I knew, that you meant it
That you meant it, that you meant it
And I knew that you meant it, that you meant it.
